Fr. John Horgan

Father John Horgan is a graduate of Harvard and studied at the Angelicum in Rome. He received a Licentiate in Moral Theology with specialization in medical-moral matters, and he also received a diploma from the Studium of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, certifying his expertise in the investigation and evaluation of candidates for sainthood.

Father Horgan was ordained for the Archdiocese of Vancouver in 1986 by Pope John Paul II. He has been pastor of Saints Peter and Paul since 1998; he is also chaplain to Vancouver College and teaches moral theology for the Archdiocesan Office of Religious Education.

Father Horgan is well-known for his retreats and conferences and has filmed several series on Saints and other features for EWTN. He is an authority on the Shroud of Turin, relics and the process of canonization. He has spoken extensively on the lives of the Saints, in particular some of the least known and most recent saints of the Church.
