A native of New Orleans, Father Raymond Fitzgerald, S.J., attended Jesuit High School and Loyola University in that city before entering the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in August of 1980. He was ordained a priest in June of 1991. Most of his ministerial life has been spent in secondary education. In 2007, he was named the assistant provincial of the New Orleans Province of the Jesuits, the position he currently holds. He was recently named by the Jesuit High School Board of Directors to the office of President of Jesuit High School, a post he will assume in the summer of 2011.
