Handmade Infant Jesus

This beautiful statue of the Infant Jesus was handcrafted by the Sister Servants from a treasured family heirloom. The Infant Jesus lies in a handmade and decorated wooden creche. The creche is about 7” long, 1.75” tall and 5” at its widest (although the bottom of the base is only 3.5” wide underneath). The baby is about 4” long, 1” tall and 1.5” at its widest, and made out of plaster. The Infant is not hollow at all. It is filled with plaster all the way through, made from a mold here at Casa Maria, so it is sturdier than porcelain or ceramic, but not completely indestructible.
