In this 2023 retreat series, Fr. Bryce Sibley directs us on helpful attitudes towards prayer and time with God. Drawing from the writings of Carmelite nun Sr. Ruth Burrows, Fr. Sibley teaches us that the essence of prayer is always rooted in our growing relationship with God. Although there are a lot of helpful methods and exercises to practice prayer, we have to be careful that the routines we have set for ourselves don't take over as the only goal of our prayer time, instead of deepening our relationship with our Heavenly Father, who knows what we need before we ask, and will work on us only if we give Him permission to do so.
