Didache Series: The History of the Church
This comprehensive history of the Catholic Church includes every major event in the Church's history through the present day. The book places the Church in its context throughout history and explains the role that the Church and its leaders have played in the shaping of history for better or worse. Complete with maps, timelines, sidebars, paintings, and photographs, The History of the Church is a critical historical resource for Catholic and non-Catholic historians alike. The Didache Complete Course Series is a series of four high school textbooks, teacher's manuals, student workbooks, and teacher's answer guides published by Midwest Theological Forum. Each title spans one academic year. As of 2009, they were being used in about one-third Catholic high schools. This textbook is published with ecclesiastical approval from the Archdiocese of Chicago, and it has been granted conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church by the USCCB Subcommittee on the Catechism.
The Didache Series is ideal for high school and adult education, seminaries and colleges, RCIA, catechism classes, and home schooling. The Sister Servants highly recommend this series of textbooks as they set out clearly the teachings of the Catholic Church and are well put together with beautiful artwork.
