Saint Catherine of Siena
Saint Catherine of Siena lived from 1347-1380. She was a tertiary of the Dominican Order who worked to bring the papacy back to Rome from Avignon and to establish peace among the Italian city-states. She was proclaimed a Doctor of the Church by Pope Paul VI in 1970 and is the Patroness of Italy.
